Flying with Pets
Animals will only be accepted at the check-in counter provided the owner is traveling with the animal (accompanied), if the owner is not travelling with the animal (unaccompanied), it must must be shipped as cargo.
- A mandatory reservation for the pet is required.
- Pets are carried as checked or cabin baggage*, in a limited number and according to space availability.
- Payment of a transportation fee is required.
Note: The cage must be made of material other than metal, must be well ventilated, without any offensive odours as determined by the carrier and may contain 1 pet only. The container size must permit the pet to be able to stand and turn.
* Cabin animals are limited to 5kg (cage/bag +animal) – ATR only = fees listed under “- 10 kilos” ;
* Flights to Paris : Cabin animals are limited to 5kg (cage/carry-bag + animal) = 50 € one way.

Importation of Domestic Animals
Importation of animals in Saint-Pierre et Miquelon is strictly regulated. The requirements are as follows:
- The animal must be 4 months old:
- The anti-rabies ¨primary vaccination¨ was made over 21 days ago
- There has been a preliminary agreement with the Service of Agriculture in Saint-Pierre et Miquelon by calling 011 508 41 09 67
- The animal must be vaccinated for rabies and have proper certificates from a veterinarian (if it’s the animal’s first vaccination, the animal has to wait 21 days before traveling, if it’s just a yearly vaccination, the animal can travel right away).
- The animal must have a visible tattoo or have a chip implanted with the proper certification.
- The animal must have a certificate of “good bill of health” given by a veterinarian a maximum of 4 days prior to traveling.
